At 6pm on Sunday August 15th, Josh Thompson opened for the iconic Lynyrd Skynyrd at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island (Newman Brackin Wayside County Beach Park at 1450 Miracle Strip Parkway, Ft. Walton Beach) as part of the continuing Rock the Beach Free Concert Series.

It was a rainy day but that didn't stop people from coming out and enjoying the concert. Most of the rain had stopped by the time Lynyrd Skynyrd took the stage.

With the tragedy wrapped around the band, it was great to hear all the old classics and the new material.
